On his YouTube channel, the Mike uploaded a tutorial of Rivermaya's song for his followers. The guitarist revealed his reasons why it took long for him to record a video demo for the said solo part.
"Liwanag Sa Dilim" was released in 2005 along with "You'll Be Safe Here" and hit the top charts in the Philippines. It became one of OPM songs of the year and immortalized through the years.

Mike Elgar joined Rico Blanco, Japs Sergio and Mark Escueta in 2001 to continue the legacy of the band. In 2007, lead vocalist Rico Blanco parted ways with the band leaving Mark Escueta, the only original member and still actively playing for Rivermaya.
